- Course objectives
- The course offers basic views of mutual relationship between a society and education, and of particular topics of Sociology of Education in relation to functioning of schools and other educational institutions. It explains the most important sociological approaches to the phenomena of education and school and follows classical and contemporary sociological theories, on basis of which it interprets school as a social system, school processes and roles of their participants. Students learn to apply sociological theories on pedagogical processes and interpret them.
