Teaching principles and methods; types, structures and formes of lessons; means and tools in teaching; French textbooks and methods.
Syllabus
  • The work in the seminar concentrates on work with concret authentic materials. These are materials created by native speakers for native speakers which can be used for teaching because they reflect well, among other things, the extralinguistic reality of the given language. Attention will be paid to using various types of linguistic games which represent an effective exercice of communicative character and can be used with success in teaching a foreign language.

Teaching methods
Seminar. After short theoretical background the content of seminar in focused on analysis of authentic materials and language games. Class presentation: analysis of authentic materials.
Assessment methods
Oral exam - themes discussed in Didactics I and II. A condition for admission to the exam is a presentation of an analysis of a selected authentic material and corresponding activities in the seminar during the semester. Once enrolled in the course, the attendance is mandatory.
