Abstract
At the end of the course students should be able to: (a) understand and explain concepts of narrative theories from different perspectives, (b) compare and sum up this theories on the base of their application for particular types of analysis.
Key topics
History of theoretical concepts of narrative analysis, in which they will be explored from different perspectives: (a) history of thinking about film and television, (b) history of analytical perspectives (narration, narrator, viewer), (c) relation between narrative and style in particular audio/visual art forms (film fiction, television serial fiction), (d) historiographical potential of each narrative theory.
