Course objectives
Students learn basics of grammar and deepen their knowledge of Ukrainian vocabulary. A part of the lessons is an intensive practice of grammatical constructions and their correct use in conversation.
The aim of the course is to understand a Ukrainian text and to reproduce it in a written form, to translate in both languages. Similarities and differences between Ukrainian and Czech languages are also considered.
Syllabus
  • Phonetics: voiced and unvoiced consonants. Stress.
  • Grammar: System of word classes in Ukrainian.
  • Nouns (declension).
  • Verbs (conjugation, conditionals, imperative).
  • Adjectives (declension).
