Course objectives
The course comprises revision and practice through written as well as oral exercises (listening exercises, gap-filling exercises, contrastive exercises, etc). By doing these, the ability of students to argue the solutions to particular spelling issues will be examined.
Syllabus
  • Spelling of particular parts of speech, especially nouns and adjectives.
  • 1. Nouns of 1. inflexional type - singular
  • 2. Nouns of 1. inflexional type - plural
  • 3. Nouns of 2. inflexional type - neuter gender
  • 4. Nouns of 2. inflexional type - masculine gender
  • 5. Revision of practical knowledge
  • 6. Nouns of 3. inflexional type
  • 7. Nouns of 4. inflexional type
  • 8. Pluralia tantum
  • 9. Revision of practical knowledge
  • 10. Writing nouns in common, separately and with word breaking mark.
  • 11. Adjectives - declension
  • 12. Adjective - declension II.

Teaching methods
Class (2 hours per week). Dictations, spelling exercises, homeworks.
