Course objectives
The aim of this seminar is to acquaint students with the work of one of the leading persons of the 20th century music, exile composer Jan Novák (1921-1984). Jan Novak was a student of V. Petrzelka, P. Borkovec, A. Copland and Bohuslav Martinu. His distinctive musical expression makes him a key figure of Czech music in the second half of 20 century.
