- Course objectives
- The Students should be able to understand, translate from Latin to Czech and to comment on the passages selected for reading.
- Syllabus
- Reading Ovidius is not a course regularly taught during the semester. Student gains credit for independent reading of selected passages from Ovid's Metamorphoses and lesser works. The reading list: Met. I 1-415; II 1-328; III; IV 55-166; VI 143-381;VIII 183-235, 616-724; X 1-77; XV 871-887. Trist. IV 10. By heart: Met. I 1-4, 89-112; XV 871-879. Reading Ovid is a prerequisite for the B.A. State Final Exam. The examining takes place after the 2nd year of the study.

- The knowledge of Ovid's work is tested by translating, metric analysis and commenting on selected passages from the reading list. Oral or written exam also during the semester, exam terms according to individual e-mail appointment.
