Course objectives
Students will familiarize themselves with current situation of ecological/environmental education in Czech Republic. The course is focused on aims, methods and institutional framework of environmental education (EE), not on eco-educational topics themselves. It therefore follows the course PGK32B59 Current Issues in Environmental Education. The course consists of three teaching blocks, assesment and one-day excursion. The teaching blocks deal with environmental education within Czech curriculums and focus on extra-curricular EE as well. The excursion introduces practical activities of EE institutions. After completing the course, students will have an insight in options for environmental education and will be able to co-prepare and co-manage EE projects and programs.
