Course objectives
Basic theoretical introduction to Serbian morphology, searching for similarities and differences in relation to Czech, learning Serbian language terminology of the area. At the end of the course students will
- be able to demonstrate the knowledge of Serbian morphology.
- have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of linguistics.
- have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of comparative study of Slavonic languages
- be familiar with Serbian grammar - contrast and compare Czech and Serbian language
Syllabus
  • Basic terminology (morphology, morpheme, morph, alomorf, ending, suffixes, prefix, affix, extension, connector, derivation, composition, motivation, motivation and motivated word, etc.); word types - comparing the characteristics of Serbian and Czech word types, comparing Serbian and Czech word-formation.
