- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to use the acquired knowledge of the Classical Greek normative grammar while reading the Ancient Greek text (Aristofanés/Euripidés/Menandros) which is prescribed to translation. At the end of this course, students will be able to make the grammatical analysis, translate and interpret the Greek drama on a high level (Aristofanes/Euripides/Menandros).
- Syllabus
- Grammatical analysis, a translation and an interpretation of one comedy of Aristophanes, Euripides or Menander (the students choose on the basis of their individual interests). Analysis of the problematic places.
