Course objectives
The seminar focuses on the practical handling of reading and interpreting the archival sources which students will most commonly encounter in their work as archivists. Teaching will be in the form of training to read Czech, Latin and German texts from the 16th to the 19th century. At the end of the course, students will be able to read and transcribe these texts, recognize the type of archive source and date it appropriately.
