- Course objectives
- The application seminar is based on pragmatic pedagogy and the principle of instumentalism. It supports pupil motivation and cooperative learning. By experienced mentors, students are led to independent processing of certain projects and gain experience through practical activities and experimentation. The aim of the course is to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during study on a specific project. The subject acquaints students with design thinking principles, the design process and methods, and the project structure.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course the student is able to:
to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during the study on a particular project
to work with the structure of the project
to design and explain a suitable method of social phenomenon research in the project
to make use of principles and methods of the design process, service design, product design, UX design (depending on nature and focus of the project), user research, analysis, prototyping, testing and validating services/products/interfaces
to work in team and use related soft skills.
The subject allows students to take advantage of possibilities to consult their progress with an expert mentor and to gain specified finances for realization of the project. - Syllabus
