Teaching methods
The seminars consist of a short introductory talk by the teacher (ca. 30 mins) and the analysis of narrative and diplomatic sources on the issue in question, which are either written in period Czech or are available in Czech or Slovak translation. In addition, students produce an independent seminar paper related to selected issues concerning Sigismund’s reign and especially his Hussite policy. The paper will be based on the study of sources and will meet the requirements of an academic text (it will contain footnotes with references to sources and literature).
Assessment methods
The awarding of credits is dependent upon active participation in the seminar and the completion of the seminar paper and presentation of it at the final lesson.
