- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The lecture will introduce the main forms, types and formats of Chinese art and visual culture from the earliest times to the present, with emphasis on their social and religious meanings and functions. The course combines the form of a historical survey with topical probes to provide a deeper look at some of the key visual expressions, works and personalities of Far Eastern art.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will gain a deeper insight into the key artistic expressions, works and personalities of Far Eastern art.
