Abstract: The course is not being taught in the standard format, but my means of optional consultations with the teacher. At the end of this course, students should be able to translate and interpret the first book of Xenophon's On the education of Kyros.

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching: Consultations based on individual reading.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements: Completion: credit (the student has to show the ability of correct interpretation and translation of a selected part of the text).
