- Course objectives
- The course develops the knowledge acquired by students during the course Cultural Heritage Preservation I. The goal of the subject is to make the student familiar with further institutions (public and non-profit) which - in addition to museums - deal with the documentation, preservation, presentation and other forms of cultural heritage use. The students will get information about the basic principles and rules of how the above forms work, and with their specifics.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the second series of the lecture cycle, following the course “Cultural Heritage Conservation I” (focused on museology), the students will be well versed in other key realms of the cultural heritage preservation, applied mainly in memory institutions (archival science, heritage preservation), in state and self-governmental administration, non-commercial area and other activities implemented in the field. Those having completed the course will have knowledge about the activities and skills which they can need in their future practice or which will be requested from them. The students will acquaint themselves with the legislation in force, the recommended methodological procedures and strategic documents for cultural heritage conservation (e.g. the Strategy for Improved Care of Traditional Folk Culture).
