Course objectives
The seminar will focus on enhancing the participants'; practical ability to organize an educational, popularizing or scholarly critical exhibition. Participants will get acquainted with all aspects of curatorial work and they will have to apply this skills in practice when preparing their own project.
Learning outcomes
The participant of the course will be informed about the professional and administrative aspects of curatorial work and they will gain practical experience with the preparation of the particular exhibition. He / she should be able to work independently in an institution of museum or gallery.

  • 1) Idea, scholarly work, exhibition texts and list of items 2) Loans and lenders 3) Transport and insurance 4) Exhibition architecture, equipment, lighting 5) Security 6) Printed materials, promotion, PR 7) Catalogue 8) Funding, budget, public procurement 9) Teaching programs and museum education 10) Virtual exhibitions

Teaching methods
The seminar will aims at enhancing practical skills and gaining experiences. A general acquaintance with all phases and aspects of preparatory work will be followed by the practical part. In its terms collective of students will prepare and realize their own exhibition under the supervision of the teacher.
Assessment methods
Active participation in the seminar and active participation in the realization team. Obtaining the credits is conditional on organizing an exhibition.
