Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to research in the field of production studies, focusing on the analysis of the production history of audiovisual works. One of the methods of such research is the analysis of available production materials (from script versions to production documentation to presentation materials). Students of this course will analyse the production history of the 1st and 2nd year exercises from the Audiovisual Arts Studio at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. They will work with the production documentation of the given student exercises, which will be provided by the teachers from the Audiovisual Arts Studio. Each student will analyse one or two student films in this way (depending on the number of students enrolled in the course).

Students will acquire basic theoretical knowledge in the field of production studies research and practical skills in this field through working with production documentation of student film exercises.
