Prerequisites
A requirement for successful course completion is good knowledge of language and basic theoretical knowledge of Russian phonetics, orthography, grammar, lexicology and stylistics.

Course objectives
In the lectures and seminars, students are getting to know the analysis of the language comicality tools in Russian at all language levels (phonetic, grammatical, lexical, syntactical, stylistic, graphic). The learners will learn on a concrete material how to comprehend the language game as one of the moving factors of language dynamics. At the same time, their active work with attractive linguistic material will allow them to better understand the systematic relationships at all language system levels of modern Russian.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course, the student will be able:
- to recognize and explain on which linguistic system principle a specific language game is based (anecdote, calambour, language comic, phonostylistic play, etc.),
- to better understand the systematic phenomena at all language system levels of contemporary Russian.

Teaching methods
The course has a form of lecture and class discussion. During the seminars there is analysed and discussed the studentsʼ homework on the topic of the previous lecture.
