Abstract
This course focuses on the translation of literary works. The main focus will be on reading and translating excerpts from literary works introduced in courses on Chinese literature (History of Chinese Literature, Seminar on Chinese Literature, The Classical Chinese Novel, Modern Chinese Literature) and then discussing translation solutions. During the semester, the instructor will supplement the lecture with practical examples, discussion of the techniques, tools, strategies and process of translation, and its pitfalls.

- translate Chinese prose and poetry
