Abstract
Student consultations with the thesis advisor, which take place based on the needs of the student and with a view to the quality and completedness of the work. The diploma thesis addresses a scholarly issue at a level appropriate to the degree being pursued. In the diploma thesis the student must demonstrate the ability to work independently in keeping with academic standards, a knowledge and understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyze the issue under study.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to
define the topic of the final thesis;
describe the methods he/she intends to apply in the final thesis;
schedule the project of the final thesis;
compose the plan of the final thesis;
evaluate the resources relevant for the topic of the final thesis;
present the text of his or her final thesis.
Key topics
The goal of the diploma seminar is to assist the student in completing the diploma thesis and prepare for its successful defence. This timetable for the consultations is arranged on an individual basis.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements

The supervisor awards credit based on consultations with the student and on the submission of the completed bachelor's thesis with all content and formal requirements (see below). The condition for awarding credits in the spring semester is the submission of the completed bachelor's thesis to the supervisor by e-mail by April 15 for the defense in June, and by June 15 for the defense in September.  In the fall semester, the deadline for submitting the thesis to the supervisor is November 15. It is the student's responsibility to plan their work and familiarize their supervisor with the completed text by the set deadline so that any necessary adjustments based on the supervisor's instructions and suggestions can be made before the final submission of the thesis to the archive in the Information System.
