Course objectives
The aim is not only to introduce students to the basic and general rules for projects of science popularization and development, but also enable them to directly apply the acquired knowledge and coaching in practice.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- to lecture about their results and the general public, while at the same time engaging and excitement for their research
- write popularization text, create a popularization video or other activity
- to prepare any activity of popularization character
Syllabus
  • 1) introduction to problems, principles of general communication
  • 2) Incorporating popularization into science communication
  • 3) the need to popularize, the history of science popularization
  • 4) popularization in the Czech Republic and in the world
  • 5) financing popularization projects
  • 6) popularization of natural vs. social sciences, basic principles of popularization
  • 7) practical part (usable programs and applications, acquaintance with specific existing projects, use of multimedia)
