- Abstract
- The course aims to help students develop functional academic and professional English for scientific contexts and communicate clearly and confidently about familiar scientific topics. Students learn to understand and produce structured spoken and written texts, such as descriptions of processes, short explanations, posters, and to interact effectively in seminars, group work, and basic professional discussions.
- Learning outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:

understand the main points of authentic scientific texts and lectures on familiar topics

identify key ideas and supporting information in spoken and written academic texts

discuss general scientific topics, express opinions, and give reasons in a clear and coherent way

engage in discussions, interact effectively with others, and mediate simple scientific concepts for peers

present simple science-related topics using basic presentation techniques and clear structure
