Basic knowledges of paleobotany or botany on the level of bachelor study.

Course objectives
The course is devoted predominantly to those students of magisterial study of the program Geology.It follows the main goal to present the general problems of study of the pollen grains and spores and other acidoresistant microfossils in the preholocene sediments and the main principles of paleovegetation interpretations.

Teaching methods
Theoretical part is realised by lectures, the practical one is focussed mainly on the observation in the light microscope.
Assessment methods
Credits are assigned based on the knowledge of basic principles, and ability to determinate palynomorfs.
