The knowledge of Russian at the grammar school level A2 (Rustina nejen pro samouky - l6 lessons).

Course objectives
B1 level (CERF) The main objectives of the course are the following: . students should get academic and specialised skills necessary for studying professional literature in Russian
. students should be able to follow the latest information in their field of study
. training in reading, speaking, listening, writing
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
speak and write about oneself, life, his or her hometown and studies, Masaryk University;
use basic specialized vocabulary;
understand simple authentic specialized texts, formulate the main ideas idetify specific information in a specialized text;
prepare a presentation on simple specialized topics using basic presentation techniques;
understand authentic specialized audio materials;
discuss general and specialized topics;
. apply acquired grammar skills in specialized contexts.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus: 1.biological, geographical, geological, chemical, mathematical and physical topis according to current importance and interest (necessary vocab) 2.general topics :study, residence, hobby, travel, dish, health, communication(necessary vocab) 3. grammar: gender, declination, conjugation, participals, verbs, adjectives, modality,tenses, passive voice, conditional, conjunctions, clause subordinal, prepositions, derivation, comparation, composition, names. 4.writing: CV, letter

Teaching methods
Listening exercises with accompanying questions and ensuing discussion, reading comprehension of written texts dealing with popular science themes as well as specific scientific texts, translations into Czech language, development of curricula, formal letter writing, exercises in basic grammar within scientific content and style, expansion of casual as well as scientific vocabulary, working with dictionaries, casual and scientific conversation
Assessment methods
Each seminar is finished by a credit test. The condition for a successful finishing of the course is passing the test (65%) and 80% attendance in the seminars.
