Abstract
At the end of this course, students should be able to explain the principles and application of the electron microscopy, the history of the development of electron microscopes; to describe to the construction of transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM); to understand and explain of the imaging methods in TEM and SEM; to learn basic techniques of specimen preparation for electron microscopy; to apply the knowledges to the selected samples; to interpret biological structures in the electron micrographs; to have knowledge of artefacts; to acquire the principles of the routine operation of the electron microscope.

Výuka je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část probíhá formou přednášek zároveň pro všechny seminární skupiny. Vzhledem k tomu, že oborové i ročníkové spektrum studentů je dosti široké, může být tato část výuky realizována po dohodě se studenty v jinou dobu než je vymezeno v rozvrhu. Praktická část probíhá v max. 10-ti členných sem. skupinách, podle rozvrhu. Účast na teoretické i praktické části je povinná.
