The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Completing this practical course, students should be able to:
work with medicaly important fungal cultures independently ;
isolate, cultivate and identify microfungi;
apply methods of strains preservation.
Syllabus
  • Structure of the fungal thallus, microscopic examination of specimens, germ-tube test, cultivation and determination of micromycetes, growth and morphology changes at various sources and substrates, fermentation and assimilation of carbon compounds, chromogenic methods for rapid identification , mycotoxins of microscopic fungi, demonstration of the most frequent species.
