- Course objectives
- Within the framework of regional geography, the students will acquire basic knowledge regarding the concepts of region, regional hierarchy and regional taxonomy. The related topics involve the history, development and current state of regional geography and its theoretical and methodological basis.

- 1. introduction to the topic of regional geography 2. history and development of regional geography, its current position in the system of (geographical) sciences 3. concept of region - history, definition, classification of regions 4. regional hierarchy 5. regional taxonomy 6. methods of regional taxonomy
