- Abstract
- This course supplements the lecture Introduction into Physics. The aim is to gain the practical experience in solving physical problems. Students need only basic calculus on the introductory level.
At the end of the course students will be able to solve physical problems using basic mathematics apparatus. - Learning outcomes
- Absolving the course a student obtains following abilities and skills: • the role of mathematics in a physical discipline • ability to obtain derived assertions from principles of classical mechanics • ability to solve problems and examples of general physics • to understand the basic procedures used in solving physical problems

- Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching

- Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
- During the semester, there will be several (approximately five) short tests (2-3 examples, 20 min). The examples in the tests will be based on homework assignments (which are optional). To pass, students must obtain at least 50% of the points from each test. In case of insufficient points or failure to complete a test, a retake test will be required.
Sufficient attendance at the seminar is also required to pass - 3 unexcused absences are tolerated. - Alternate completion
- In justified cases (travel abroad, prolonged absence due to illness, etc.), it is possible to complete this course in an alternative form, which will be agreed upon with the teacher.
