Progression through the study plan

The International Relations and European Politics Program (IREP) is studying at the Department of International Relations and European Studies at the FSS MU as a doctoral degree. The study is governed by the MU Study and Examination Regulations and by the FSS study standards and is credit type. Required courses are the basis of the study program and must be completed during the course of study. In order for students to apply for a state doctoral examination, they are required to obtain 220 ECTS for required courses and 20 ECTS for selective courses (long-term foreign residence) in the IREP program. Students must earn 240 ECTS in total. The standard length of IREP in a doctoral degree program is 8 semesters. The study is completed by the defense of the dissertation.
