Cíle předmětu
Current International and Domestic Issues Course aims at practising speaking and listening skills in relation to the current topics worldwide. The existing domestic, European and international legal regulations are taken into account in respect of private and public law disciplines.

  • I.Introduction- Project design II.Project draft III.- X.Possible topical issues to be discussed: 1.Armed conflicts in the contemporary world 2.International organizations 3.European Union 4.Domestic and foreign policy in the CR 5.Economic co-operation and the current economic situation in the CR 6.Environmental issues 7.Crime 8.Terorism 9.Problems of addiction 10.Racism,discrimination and xenophobia 11.Social security and the welfare state 12.Migration issues ... any other relevant topics according to the current situation. XI. Presentation of the projects XII. Project summaries. Designing a project- 1) choosing the topic 2) collecting information 3) information processing 4) problem analysis 5) support theories 6) primary support materials 7) secondary literature 8) application and conclusion 9) personal opinion and comment. Project Draft- "I would like to explore, deal with, look at, examine, investigate, cover,..." Project Summary- "My project is about, deals with, consists of, includes, examines, considers,..." Practical advice for developing a project: 1.Choose the topic you are interested in and which is relevant to the field of your studies.2.Find the background information as the sources of your interest.3.State the current situation.4.Observe and monitor the development of the issue considered within 2 months.5. Do not forget to support your collected information by using primary and secondary literature. 6.Add your comments, opinions, points of view.7. State the literature and other sources used.

Metody hodnocení
Seminars, examination written and oral. Credit requirements: The students are expected to design and work out a project covering any topical issue (5-7 pages) according to the choice of their own. Written part of the examination: a summary and a brief description of the project (max. 1 page) Oral part of the examination: guided discussion on the project
