Cíle předmětu
The course gives a comprehensive overview about the emerging field of EU private international law (EU PIL). It takes a case-law approach and elucidates the key-concepts of EU PIL through real and fictitious cases. After a short overview about the evolution of EU PIL, jurisdictional rules are analyzed. Afterwards, contracts, delicts and familty matters are exmined from the perspective of both jurisdiction and applicable law. The last lecture deals with recongition and enforcement, both from a European and a global perspective.
