Course objectives
Objectives of the subject are:
- understanding of general and special psychiatry and its relation to dentistry
- familiarization with the terminology used in psychiatry
- familiarization with the methodology of psychiatric diagnostics and the basics of psychiatric therapy
- acquiring the diagnostic-therapeutic process in patients with psychiatric symptoms occurring in dental practice
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- describe and divide basic psychiatric disorders
- describe signs of psychotic illness
- describe principles of basic diagnostics in psychiatry
- describe and suggest ways of possible therapy in patients with psychiatric disorders and acute psychosis
