- Course objectives
- The aim of this seminar is to extend the theoretical knowledge of the system of German simple sentence,to identify the grammatical phenomena on the analysis of authentic language material,to describe and compare the German syntactic structures with their Czech counterparts and to identify similarities and differences.
- Learning outcomes
- The student is able - to practically apply his theoretical knowledge in the analysis of the authentic language material, - to reflect the parallels and differences between the Czech and German syntactic structures, - to interpret, evaluate and present the results of his research, - to work efficiently with corpus instruments.

- seminar : - Reading of linguistic texts - Analysis of the language material ( in the classroom and as homework ) - Presentations of the results of individual research
- Assessment methods
- The course can be completed either by a "zápočet" or by a "kolokvium". Students who wish to complete the course with the "zápočet" have to do all written homework and to active cooperate in seminars. Students who wish to complete the course with a "kolokvium" have additionally to submit and present a seminar paper .
- Náhradní absolvování
- In the case of stays abroad (e.g. as part of the ERASMUS programme), the completion of an equivalent course at the host university can be recognised as academic achievement. In addition, recognition is possible on the basis of the submission of all compulsory assignments (interactive sylabus in the IS) or the writing of a seminar paper (after consultation with the lecturer).
