Course objectives
The aims: provide doctoral students with basic terminology of the philosophy of language and with theoretical and philosophical basis in relation to languge: 1) neopositivistic and transcendetal one, and 2) hermeneutic and pragmatistic one. Acquired knowledge student will be able to applied to their doctoral thesis.

  • Realtion of philosophy and language
  • Modern philosophical approaches to lannguage
  • Neopositivistic and transcendental: Wittgenstein I, Chomsky, Kriepke
  • Hermeneutic and pragmatistic: Mead, Lakoff, Johnson, Kövecses
