- Cíle předmětu
- The aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to get acquainted with various forms of inclusive education abroad. In the form of hybrid course structure students will be firstly familiarized with main concepts connected with inclusive education and further, within internships, apply already gained knowledge for structured observation of various aspects of inclusive education environment. Reflective session will be organized afterwards to support further discussion for analysis, understanding and anchoring acquired knowledge and experience gained within various school environments. Therefore, the aim of the course is to allow students improve their professional and personal skill through systematic online and onsite cooperation in international student groups.
- Výstupy z učení
- After completing the course, the student will be able to: Define basic theoretical concepts and principles applied within inclusive school environment; Define the basic characteristics of the educational system in partner countries; Describe educational conditions of students in educational institutions in partner country; Identify features of inclusive school setting in given institutions; Communicate and further cooperate in international teams; Apply and improve their research and observational skills within school environment

- Course syllabus covers both topics provided within online and internship phase: Introductory session – who we are? Introduction to characteristics of educational systems (Austria, Czech Republic, Germany) Diversity and Heterogeneity – Cultural/Multilingual/Social aspects Social Inclusion vs. Social Exclusion – principles/its application in national practice Inclusiveness vs. Inclusive Education – What does it mean? (Special) Educational Needs – Disability vs. Ability (?) Teacher – Kid – Parent – Cooperation Features of inclusive school setting (Observational schemes - Internship Phase) Reflective seminar on key principles of inclusive education – What makes social inclusion/inclusive education work?

- Individual/Pair/Group work, Assigned readings, Discussions for both online and onsite phase. Course is given in English. Upper intermediate English would be appropriate.
- Metody hodnocení
- To be awarded credits the student has to: attendance; hand in assigned reading and other tasks assigned by teacher; active participation during lectures, activities and discussions; active participation on the week internship abroad, reflective essay on experiences from abroad
