Předpoklady
- No prior knowledge of Chinese is needed.
- The course is offered EXCLUSIVELY to the students of the Chinese Department of Masaryk University.
- Exceptions could be made ONLY IF an Erasmus student has Chinese Studies as their major at their home university and if the student can present documented proof. Language proficiency certificates (HSK/TOCFL) are NOT accepted.

Anotace
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- form simple sentences in written and spoken Chinese;
- understand simple speech by a native speaker of Chinese;
- read a simple text.
Výstupy z učení
After the course, the student should be able to:
- understand the difference between the spoken and written varieties of Chinese;
- use new grammatical structures;
- answer basic questions and to create basic sentences;
- react properly in basic dialogue on textbook topics.
Klíčová témata
This course (Chinese I) uses Integrated Chinese Level 1 Part 1 (Lesson 1-10; i.e., 10 lessons + 1 review week), following the order of the textbook's lessons.

Přístupy, postupy a metody používané ve výuce
various methods of teaching - seminars, class discussion, conversation, homework, written/oral presentations, etc. The course contains of three sessions per week, the first one is taught in Czech language, the second and the third are taught in English.
Způsob ověření výstupů z učení a požadavky na ukončení
Final written exam and oral exam. To pass 70% above. Besides the exam, the following rules must be observed:
1) Up to 4 unexcused absences are allowed in one semester. In case of 5 or more unexcused absences, the student will not be allowed to sit the final exam.
2) In order for an absence to be excused, the student should approach the Study Department of the Faculty with an official request.
3) The student fulfills all tasks given by the teacher (assignments, presentations, etc.) Unpreparedness is judged as absence.
4) Students must not switch study groups, unless the teacher explicitly approved.
