Jiné omezení: Odborné články probírané v kurzu budou v angličtině, je třeba s tím počítat.

Anotace

The aim of the course is to introduce students to current trends and innovations in NLP and AI, including the latest research articles, applications and technologies. The course rotates instructors to cover as many topics as possible and to give students the opportunity to understand the basic concepts and techniques in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and to gain knowledge of advanced machine learning and deep learning methods used in NLP and AI. The course will also offer insight into the ethical and social issues associated with the use of NLP/AI, including privacy, bias in data and the ethical use of AI. The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends and technologies in NLP/AI and prepare them to work and research in this dynamic and innovative field.

Výstupy z učení

By completing the course, the student will gain insight into a number of NLP topics currently addressed in applied research and practice.
The student is able to prepare a short presentation and present new developments in the field based on a professional article.
Based on the knowledge of the specific job in the application sphere, he/she will be able to choose the appropriate type of field work placement, temporary work placement and subsequently graduate employment.

• • The content of the course is changed every semester and updated according to the current trends in NLP/AI. Students can also design their own.
  • The specific range of topics for the current semester will be specified prior to the start of the semester and will be published in the interactive course syllabus.

• Literatura bude studentům zadávána aktuálně v relaci k probíraným tématům.

Přístupy, postupy a metody používané ve výuce

The focus will be on active participation of students, with regard to their interest in the issues dealt with during the particular activities. Students will be encouraged to make scholarly preparations for lectures, to participate in discussions and to process the acquired knowledge as team members.

Způsob ověření výstupů z učení a požadavky na ukončení

Successful completion of the course requires active participation in seminars and completion of assignments related to these activities. To successfully complete the course, students must prepare and deliver a presentation on a selected topic.
