Cíle předmětu
The module offers an introductory path throughout some nuclear themes related to the complex relationships between migrations and languages, on the one hand, and literary production, on the other, in the present and in the recent past. Framed within the European perspective of plurilingual education, it will be organised in two thematic blocks, one devoted to the languages of/in migration, the other one focusing on the relationship between mobility and literature. In both cases, particular attention will be paid to the complexity of identity constructions, multilingualism and multiculturalism as intrinsic features of Europe.

By the end of the course, students will reach full understanding of the following topics: - Societal multilingualism and individual plurilingualism. - Territorial mobility, (forced) migration, exile. - Migrant populations, diversification of the repertoires, contact phenomena. - Migration and health services. - Migration and linguistic landscape. - Mobility and migrant literatures.

Metody hodnocení
Written test. The test is made of two parts: (a) 14 questions (one for lesson), to which students answer in 250-500 wds (in English or in a Romance language). (b) 7 input topics (one for each segment) from which students choose one topic only and write, in English or in a Romance language, an answer that is more extensive than the previous ones (500-1000 wds).
