Cíle předmětu
The course will look at a series of shorter pieces of fiction and prose, mainly by post-war writers, though also breifly considering some earlier twentieth century developments. The aim will to be look at correpsondences and divergences between the approaches of different writers in terms of form , topic, style and other considerations. Writers whose work is considered will include Henry James, Joseph Conrad, Samuel Beckett, Muriel Spark, Angela Carter, Pat Barker,John Fowles and Hanif Kureishi.
