Cíle předmětu
The topic of religion and ritual has been one of the most important topics in the development of the field of cognition and culture and has been an intriguing topic of great interest for cognitive scientists. This module focuses on the various cognitive theories of religion and ritual developed by cognitive scientists over the last twenty years, theories that have challenged more traditional social scientific approaches. The module addresses fundamental issues in the cognitive science of religion that are related to the field of cognition and cultures such as the nature of the psychological and socio-cultural mechanisms that inform and influence religious and religious ritual representations and affect behavior.
Výukové metody
Each session will involve both a lecture and a discussion.
