- Course objectives
- At the end of the course, students should be able to understand current methodologies in experimental biology and medicine, which are based on the principles of selected functions of the immune system.
- Learning outcomes
- The outcome of this course will be that the student will be able to: understand, explain and interpret the most important current methods based on the principles applied within the immune response. Students will be able to theoretically propose the use of the most important methodologies used in immunological laboratories, both experimental and clinical.
- Syllabus
- Antibodies as analytical tools; Immunoassays; Immunoaffinity and other protein-protein affinity techniques; Advanced fluorescence microscopy for live cell imaging; Analysis of immune cell migration; Flow cytometry, co-cultivation methods and applications in immunology; Sequencing techniques with a focus on application in immune disease research; Mouse models of diseases and their preparation; Advanced models of preclinical research in immunology; Methods used in the development of immunotherapy.
