However, CA conducted on videorecordings of classroom teaching makes it possible to consider the local and dynamic nature of interaction. The aim of this theoretical-methodological chapter is twofold. First, it introduces the dialogist framework and related views of (language) learning as well as CA as a research method. Second, it presents the research design of the research project “Classroom interaction in English language teaching in higher education“.
