Abstract
This thesis implements a backend system for a web application for capturing structured data in criminal investigations. MidPoint application, originally used for identity management, is used and configured in such a way that captured data is stored securely. Zadání práce
The developed backend solution will securely store the knowledge information, and it will be designed and implemented in accordance with the requirements of the already developed frontend application (developed by Karolína Veselá). The student will specify and analyse requirements for the backend subsystem (including the analysis of the already developed frontend and its requirements) and -- for its implementation -- will employ and appropriately adapt the MidPoint tool, originally used for secured storage and management of identity data. The proposed solution will allow users to manage and process information about investigated cases and will support various analytical functions of the user interface, like working with different case hypotheses. The student will further explore the possibilities of employing the designed principles for storing evidence documents and their metadata, including fine-grained access control and relevant approval processes.
Besides others, the thesis should comprehensively evaluate the implemented backend system, demonstrating its functionality and scalability in maintaining knowledge information and documents within the AFoLab platform.
