The goal of this thesis is to create a comprehensive and highly coupled overview of currently used patterns for designing distributed applications and systems. Examine the scope and identify suitable categories that could guide pattern selection. Consider categories such as design goals, problems, or application requirements, as well as multiple forms of categorization of the patterns. Include a quick-reference process that should help the reader find and decide which patterns they want to apply based on the identified categories. Propose appropriate characteristics for the patterns presentation, such as a description of the context, where it is applicable, visualization of its architecture and present the identified patterns in this structure, together with a concrete example of their application, consequences of the application of the pattern, and a list of patterns, tactics or resources that can be studied further. Finally, create a public, searchable, statically hosted website on which the documented patterns will be available.
