Zadání práce
The goal of this thesis is to provide a catalogue of refactoring patterns for the transformation of monolithic software architectures into microservice-based architecture. The patterns will be shown in a proof-of-concept sample project migrated to microservices. The tasks foreseen in the thesis:
  • Review the concepts related to software architectures from recent developments, from traditional monolithic architectures, to service oriented, microservices, serverless architectures;
  • Provide related works dealing with architectural transformations from monolith to microservices: experiences and lessons learnt;
  • Review all existing catalogs of patterns adopted to refactor monoliths to microservices: build a catalogue based on the integration of the different sources;
  • Showcase the application of the catalogue to an existing monolith project deriving general guidelines for migrations;
