The concept of T-shaped skills has become increasingly relevant in modern enterprises, where the ability to combine deep expertise in a specific area with a broader understanding of various disciplines is essential. This thesis explores the role of T-shaped professionals within Service environments and how their skill sets can contribute to cross-functional collaboration and innovation. The case study examines the value of employees who apart from understanding their specialized fields also possess knowledge and skills in different areas. The research investigates how T-shaped skills are developed and applied, and explores their value in an organization. The findings aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of interdisciplinary skill sets in complex business systems and help shape a future study program at FI MUNI. This research will form part of a larger survey conducted across multiple companies, providing comparative insights and delivering value not only for Kyndryl but also for the broader business community.
