Addressing operational challenges this thesis will analyze current existing processes within Red Hat to release software, with particular focus on release scheduling and resource utilization. Based on the findings, the thesis lists proposals for process optimization, including an evaluation of their applicability in the current company ecosystem.

Deploying process changes is often met with failure due to unfit implementation, potentially resulting in only partial realization of the anticipated benefits, in some cases none. The thesis proposes multiple approaches to deploy process changes based on Red Hat's environment.

The process improvement deployment plan addresses all necessary steps to implement the proposed process optimization into the practice and obtain the desired benefits. The plan contains a project roadmap, including technical enablement, selected approaches for implementing process changes, and proposed feedback mechanisms to assess the usefulness of the process improvement and its implementation.
