Zadání práce
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the current state of teaching English pronunciation at Czech primary schools. This work should ultimately prove the hypothesis that in Czech primary education, this area is rather neglected in the teaching of English.
The thesis comprises theoretical, research, and practical parts. The theory addresses the issue of intelligibility in the context of pronunciation teaching. The research consists of a questionnaire survey sent to several primary schools in the Czech Republic and the following analysis and discussion of its results. The practical part includes teaching materials on various aspects of pronunciation.
The results of the research should help to strengthen the teaching of this area of English and integrate it into school teaching.
