This study aims to look into the effects of debt on growth in Ghana. Several studies have been performed that have centred on cross-country inquiries that do not include explanations that represent the reality in individual countries. Since data on internal debt is not readily available, the general objective of this study is to unearth the impact of external debt on economic growth in Ghana. Its specific aim is to identify the effect of external debt and debt service on external debt on economic growth. With its methodology, the study will cover a period of 47 years from 1970-2019. For its estimation procedure, descriptive statistics, unit root test, and cointegration test will be employed.
